Xia Fei Dimsum at K11 Mall

After going to park lane shoppers boulevard and our afternoon stroll in Kowloon park, we decided to go to K11 Mall to find if there are restaurants that would serve dimsum nearby for our snack.

The outside entrance of their mall.

There was a small billboard sign outside that showed their different restaurants in the mall. We decided to go to Xia Fei cause of the picture which showed a 4 pc. dimsum.

Upon entering the mall you could see the different Christmas decorations and Christmas music played in the background.

Loved this very small house that had Christmas decorations outside and inside.

A Small Christmas Tree inside.

We finally arrived. Xia Fei is a restaurant that served Shanghainese food, it was very hard to find in the mall cause it was located at the very end of the basement of K11 mall.

Their Dimsum Menu, They also serve different dishes like noodles and other main dishes.

Free Hot Tea was served upon arriving at our seats, It was very good.

There weren't any people eating at that time, but after 30 mins. the placed got filled up fast easily.

place mat, chopsticks, tea cup and small bowl

wood cages (not sure. lol.) in their ceiling

The Chefs cooking food. We ordered all dimsum dishes that were the chef's recommendations in the menu.

Steamed shredded pork, shrimp, and chive dumpling HK$24

Very good dumplings, you can taste the pork, shrimp and chive. It was a soup dumpling or what they call Xia Long Bao. The soup was hot and very rich and tasteful. It was definitely one of the best soup dimsums Iv'e tasted.

Steamed minced pork dumplings HK$24

Unlike the other soup dumpling that we ordered, this only had minced pork in it. The pork was chunkier in it was also hot and rich and filled with flavor. It was also very good.

Pan fried beef pastry filled with soup $HK26

This dish was also like soup dimsum but instead of steamed, it was pan fried. The beef inside was flavorful as well as the soup inside which was tasteful and meaty. We liked more the two steamed dishes than this one, nonetheless it was still good.

Pan fried minced pork buns HK$26

This dish was also good, it had what looked liked sesame seeds. The bun was tasteful but kinda tasted like the beef pastry but without the soup.

Pan fried scallop and turnip pastry $HK26

I wasn't sure in ordering this dish but it was one of the chef's recommendations. You can really taste the turnip and it is not that bad. The bottom of the pastry had sesame seeds which gave it a taste like buchi. This would be the least favorite dish of the six that we've ordered. Nonetheless it was still good.

Shanghainese shredded pork bamboo shoot and mushroom spring rolls HK$22

Very long name for a dish that looks like fried lumpiang shanghai rolls. The best lumpiang shanghai Ive tasted, the bamboo shoot and mushroom gave a different flavor to the dish. You don't even need sauce to eat the dish cause it was flavorful alone.

Our Bill

Final Thoughts

Very good Shanghainese dimsum, especially the Xiao Long Bao or soup dimsums. Their dimsums weren't cheap but it was good and worth it.
