DINNER AT MISO COOL

We went back to K11 mall to find a restaurant for us to eat our dinner, It was Christmas day so the restaurants were still jam packed. We saw this ramen/bento restaurant that was full of people and decided to eat at that place. We had to wait around 20 mins. before we were seated.
Miso Cool menu
Their menu are mostly ramen an other japanese food.
miso cool glass w/ water
Japanese Lemonade HK$18
This was the drink that I ordered. I was only expecting it to be a normal lemonade drink so I was surprised when this drink came to our table. I did some research and I was able to find out that the other name for this drink is Ramune or a carbonated soft drink that is sold in Japan. Ramune known for their distinctive design of the bottle and sealed with a marble and they are famous during summer and widely consumed during warm festivals day and night, good thing I ordered this drink! It is difficult to drink cause of the marble which can block the flow, but still it was good and refreshing, it had a lemon-lime frizz taste.
Pepsi Light HK$10
Pepsi w/ a slice of lemon and ice
Grilled Oyster w/ spicy sauce HK$36
The dish only had two oysters but they were big, they smelled good and the butter and cheese was really good. The thing that made this dish a winner was the spicy sauce, It went well with grilled oysters and blended well with the butter and cheese. Best Garlic oysters Ive tasted.
Misocool Home made grandma dumplings HK$38
The dumplings were also good, you can never go wrong in ordering this. I was able to finish all 6 pcs. lol.
Shrimp Tempura rice HK$48
My sister ordered the Shrimp tempura. She said she tasted better shrimp tempura rice in the Philippines.
Cutlet porkchop and scrambled egg rice HK$58
My dish had a cutlet of porkchop and scrambled egg over the rice in a bow. It was really good, better than the katsudon version of Teriyaki boy in the Philippines. The serving was large but I was able to finish it.
Green tea ice cream HK$18
My sister’s favorite flavor; green tea. I don’t like green tea but this ice cream was an exception, it was actually good. It was sweet and didn’t melt easily.
Lots of miso cool customers
Last Thoughts
Miso cool served really good Japanese food, they have more dishes in their menu like ramen and sushi and other Japanese desserts. The Interior had a slick surrounding which had a think minimalist blonde-wood canteen with a black green color. The restaurant was vibey and noisy but still a good place to eat. Hope to go back to Hong Kong so that I can try their ramen next.

CAFE PANDA AT OCEAN PARK

We arrived at Ocean park around 11:30 am, our entrance was at Tai Shue Wan entrance where the The summit was located. The first thing we did was to ride the cable car to go to the other side which was where the waterfront was located. We first decided to go there so that we could have time left for us to go back to the the summit and go around that part of the park cause we were gonna be picked up at around 4:30 pm at the entrance there.
Cable Car ride going to the waterfront.
It was lunch time and we were already hungry so we had our lunch at Panda Cafe that was in front of the Panda Kingdom Shop. It was a food court restaurant style that served Chinese food unlike the food kiosks that can be found in the whole park.
This was the place were you choose your food.
The place was big and their were plenty of seats
They also served some dimsum
Other side dishes
The peking duck looks delicious.
Can’t wait for some pecking duck.
Rice w/ peking duck and poached chicken HK$95
The dish had rice topped with two meat variants. The peking duck was good but not to be compared to the delicious ones that can be eaten at peking duck restaurants. The poached chicken was yummy.
Rice w/ pork barbeque and poached chicken HK$95
The pork barebeque was actually good, it was sweet and juicy.
Orange Juice (with meal)
The meals also came with an orange juice drink. It was good and refreshing.
Final Thoughts
Panda Cafe is a unique panda themed indoor and outdoor restaurant cafe. They not only served Sichuan specialties but provide other food menus of Korea, Japanese and Taiwan in the restaurant. A very good place to relax and eat after a tiring stroll around Ocean Park.

NOCHE BUENA AT TGIF HONG KONG

It was Christmas Eve so finding a place to eat for our Noche Buena was hard because most restaurants are full and only accept people who had their reservations earlier. Upon going out you would be able to see lots of people in the street celebrating the Christmas countdown street party.

People were allowed to walk the streets because it was Christmas Eve.
We decided first to eat at Outback steak house which was just next door to our hotel, unfortunately it was full and the only seats available was at the bar area so we then went to TGIF which was at the 4th floor. There were also lots of people but we were assured that we would have a table after 30 mins. so we waited outside at the rooftop deck and asked the hostess just to call us when our table would be ready.
This was the bird eye’s view at the rooftop of TGIF, there were lots of people in the streets.
It was Christmas eve and their dishes for that evening was limited to only a 1 page menu, plus it was little bit more pricey than their original prices. We had no choice and we were already hungry so we decided to stay instead of looking for another place.
TGIF paper place mat
Orange Fruit Juice HK$40
A very expensive orange juice, it was good but the serving was small and did not did justice with its price.
Ginger Ale Soda HK$30
A very expensive soda, If it wasn’t Christmas eve that time, this drink would have been bottomless at that kind of price.
Loaded Potato Skins (10 pieces) HK$158
The potato skins were filled with Colby cheese and crisp bits of bacon. Served with tangy sour cream and chives. I heard how much calories this potato skins had and I think 1 serving is 3 pieces and has 660 calories! Thats really a lot but they were so good, especially when you put a lot of sour cream on top of the potato skin. I guess its okay to eat it once in a while and it was Christmas eve.
Chicken Fingers HK$158
Hand - battered chicken tenders, golden fried and served with their honey mustard dressing. Another high calorie meal by TGIF, can’t say how many calories are in this dish but they were good. It’s like Fish n Chips but with Chicken fingers instead. The mustard complimented well the Chicken fingers and fries.
New York Steak HK$308
Ah, the highlight of Noche Buena. Choiced aged beef, hand cut (12oz) and char grilled to perfection with a side of mash potatoes and vegetables. Steak is my favorite dish and this is one of the best steaks I have eaten. The cut was good cause it came from the short loin. It was tender and had little fats unlike the rib eye or tenderloin.

Final Thoughts
Our Noche Buena at TGIF was indeed wonderful and enjoyable. I was only disappointed with their limited menu and prices because of the Christmas season. Their were lots of people eating and still the staff were still able to attend to us. Definitely a good place to celebrate a special occasion.

We were also able to attend a mass here in Hong Kong at Christmas Eve. The Church was located in front of Park lane shoppers boulevard. The mass started at 11:00 pm but we arrived there around 11:30 pm. We later find out that it was an Anglican/Episcopal Church. Nonetheless instead of focusing the differences, we focused on the similarities which is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

KOREAN BURGERS AT KRAZE

After our half day tour at jewellery city, Aberdeen fishing village, floating giant restaurant and mid level of Victoria peak, we were brought back to the busy streets of Tsim Sha Tsui. Just in time for lunch.
We decided then to go back to iSqaure mall to find a restaurant for lunch.
A flute band playing at i Square that time.
My sister then suggested that we eat at KRAZE burgers, I later found out that KRAZE is a korean restaurant that serves burgers, fries and other dishes and they only have one branch here in Hong Kong and none in the Philippines. KRAZE what I learned for stands for “Korean” and “Craze” which had made its mark in Korea being the no. 1 burger restaurant in their country. Kraze pride itself in serving burgers that are healthy and in the same way good and delicious.
KRAZE Menu
Other KRAZE customers
Ketchup and Hot Sauce
K. Onion Burger HK$85
My burger wasn’t Korean, it is a traditional style American burger made with honey barbeque sauce and cream cheese. 100 % pure beef patty, crispy onion ring, american cheese, bacon, fresh tomato and lettuce in a whole wheat bun. Very fresh, thats what I can say about the ingredients, the onion rings were crispy. I can’t really say if the burger was indeed healthy but it was not oily like other burgers of fast food joints.
KS Burger HK$58
Kraze bun, beef patty, baco, AM cheese, lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato, bacon. Her burger was simple but nonetheless she said it was really good.
Chili Cheese Fries w/ Fanta Orange (combo) HK$58
Fanta orange soda, one of the sodas that we haven’t drank for a long time. This soda is not available in fast food restaurants in the Philippines. It somehow tastes like Mirinda and Royal tru orange.
Their chili cheese fries is said to be one of their top sellers. The chili fries is a mouth watering texas chili, blend of cheese, and chopped onions over crinkle cut fries. The fries were good, well cooked and nicely salted. The chili beef was mild and not that spicy, just right. The fries were able to maintain their crispiness on the outside and softness in the inside. This dish reminded me of the fries we ate at Sango but even better.
Idaho Garlic Fries w/ Fanta Grape (combo) HK$58
Fanta grape soda, I’m not sure if Fanta sodas are already obsolete in the Philippines but I’m guessing they are selling it in different special grocery stores in our country.
This was the fries that I ordered. It was saured rare cut potato fries with garlic and butter over sweet spicy sauce, cream mayonnaise and mango dressing. Very weird ingredients for fries, but nonetheless it was delicious. The sauce was really spicy yet somehow sweet; the combination of different flavors was good especially the garlic powder that covered the fries.

Final Thoughts
Very good and quality burgers at an affordable price. A more healthier choice if your craving for burgers and fries. The place was spacious and all of their food are made to order to ensure freshness. I was kind of confused if KRAZE was really a Korean style fast food restaurant or an American style fast food restaurant because of the impression of the place was american and music being played was not Kpop. Still, their menu did had some burgers with their signature korean sauce as well as a Bulgogi burger. Hoping that they would open a branch here in the Philippines.
