RAMEN LUNCH AT HOKKAIDO RAMEN SANTOUKA AT ISQUARE

We were ecstatic in our first day here in Hong Kong and we were glad that our hotel had a very good location in Tsim Sha Tsui for it was very close to all the malls and tourist hot spots to go there. We arrived at our Hotel a bit early and our room wasn’t ready yet so we decided first to have lunch. We decided to go to iSQUARE Mall which was the closest mall to our hotel. The mall was huge which was 31 storeys high.
The mall was located at the corner of Nathan Road. There is also an MTR located at the malls basement.
The mall has many restaurants but most of them are located at the 6th floor were you will have to ride a lot of escalators to get there.
5th floor of the mall where their giant christmas tree was located.
We decided then to eat here, It looked liked a Japanese style restaurant that served ramen.
The place was small comfortable and warm.
Many people eating their food, mostly ramen and noodle like dishes.
Their food menu.
Pork Cutlet Combo HK$95
This was the dish I ordered, It had a small bow of rice, half boiled egg, and a bowl of noodles that was smaller than their regular orders. The pork cutlet was juicy and tender, it wasn’t oily and salty, the sauce complimented the pork cutlet perfectly. The broth that I choose for my ramen was miso soup. the flavor was good and not spicy, just the way I like it. Best ramen I have tasted so far.
Topped with Grilled Salmon Combo HK$80
My sister ordered this dish, it had grilled salmon toppings on the small bowl of rice, half boiled egg and small serving of ramen. Her ramen has a different broth than mine. She had a spicy fermented soybean paste soup, the spiciness was just right cause she likes spicy food. The grilled salmon was also really good and fresh.
Coca-cola bottle HK$9
Her first coke in Hong Kong. Lol.
Orange Juice HK$9
I had the orange juice, it was very fresh and sweet.
Final Thoughts
Very good ramen, Their tsukemen also looked good cause it was ordered by the table next to us. Even though its Japanese food and not Chinese/Hong Kong cuisine, its a definite must try if you are going to Hong Kong. The best ramen Iv’e tasted so far.
